The Boulder, Colorado home where 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey was tragically murdered in 1996 is being offered for sale for just under $7 million. The murder of JonBenet, a young beauty queen, attracted global attention and forever altered human memory.
The Ramseys, the family who resided there, initially paid $500,000 for the five-bedroom house in 1991 according to NBC. Nevertheless, records show that they sold the home to a group of investors in 1998 for $650,000.
This historic mansion is currently being offered at a much higher price than it was when it was last sold in 2004 to Tim Milner and his wife, Carol Schuller Milner, the televangelist Robert H. Schuller’s daughter. The property is valued at $6.95 million, according to the most recent listing from LIV Sotheby’s International Realty.
The home is described in the ad as a “stately and modernized 1920s Tudor estate” with outstanding Flatiron vistas and stunning curb appeal. The University of Colorado, Pearl Street stores, restaurants, and luxury houses are all within walking distance, making it an outstanding position in the heart of Boulder.
Despite its tragic past, the house is generating a lot of attention, as seen by the more than 10,000 views on its Zillow listing and the over 400 users who have chosen to save it. The interior of the property, including its eight bathrooms and the carpeted stairway heading upstairs from the kitchen, is shown in the images that go with the listing.
The house’s tragic past complicates the sale as it is put back on the real estate market. Since the Milners bought it in 2004, the house has been on the market multiple times, but it hasn’t yet been sold. The 7,240 square feet of beautiful living space and the house’s close access to a number of facilities are highlighted in the Zillow listing.
The sale of this historic home serves as a reminder of the unsolved mystery surrounding JonBenet Ramsey’s terrible murder, in addition to offering a special piece of Boulder’s past
