Kamala Harris’s First Interview Of Presidential Campaign

Kamala Harris

Media outlets and Conservative activists criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for the change in her stance since she took over the Democratic ticket for the presidential election. Harris’ propensity to change her position fueled doubts in the minds of people about her authenticity.

She also said that her values have not changed, and to support that point, she emphasized immigration, climate change, and the prosecution of gang members who are accused of human trafficking when she was California’s attorney general.

Interviewer asked Kamala Harris whether she would ban fracking, which is a method of recovering gas and oil from shale rock she replied with a big no, saying that she made it clear in her 2020 debate that she wouldn’t ban fracking, which is a clear contrast to her 2019 statement.

Likewise, when Harris was asked whether unauthorized border crossings should be decriminalized, she replied that there should be consequences.

Biden also called Vice President Kamala Harris to tell her that he was going to stand aside from his reelection bid. When asked whether he was sure of his decision, he reiterated it.

Harris also doubled down her loyalty to President Biden and argued that history would judge his presidency as transformative and quite selfless. She also praised Biden’s intelligence, judgment, and disposition.

Harris didn’t answer directly when asked whether she considered “Bidenomics” a success, but she pointed out capping the cost of prescription drugs for seniors and increasing employment in the manufacturing sector as good work and said there is a lot more to do.

When Harris was asked whether she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet if elected, she said she would and also mentioned that no one particular is in her mind. And of course, it’s entirely possible that Harris, if elected, could find some rationale for failing to keep the apparent commitment. It is a clear promise to reach America’s political divide and an attempt to reassure that at least some conservative voices would be heard in the Harris’ administration.
